How to convert units and time zones without mistakes
2 min read
A wrong conversion is a small mistake with a big result: a missed call or a ruined batch. A few habits fix most of it.
For units - Write the unit next to every number. - Convert once, at the start, then work in one unit. - Round at the end, not in the middle.
For time zones - Name the city, not just the zone, because daylight saving shifts. - Put the date next to the time when it crosses midnight. - Send invites with both people's local times written out.
Double check Convert back the other way. If you do not land on your starting number, something is off.
When you want to check one quickly, you can convert units and time zones.
