Human Review, Alerts and Cost

This course keeps a person on every customer-facing draft before it's sent. Sampling is for low-risk internal outputs only. A clean run count doesn't, by itself, authorize automatic sending, and automatic sending to customers isn't part of this course.

Guardrails

  • Draft mode for anything a customer will see, with a person checking each one.
  • Failure alerts to a place you check, and a retry limit so a broken step doesn't loop.
  • Workflow-side caps on runs per day and retries, since your tools may not enforce them (for example 20 runs a day and 2 retries). Check which budget controls they do enforce.
  • A pause procedure you've tried once.
  • A log of every run that you can search.

Cost and Versions

Estimate monthly cost from expected runs, retries and checks, plus fixed platform and connector charges. Check both on the current pricing pages. Choose a fixed model version where your provider supports it, and rerun your test table after any edit to the model, prompt, tools or inputs.

A Reviewed-Trial Rule

  • Run in reviewed mode: a person checks every draft.
  • Record each edit the reviewer makes.
  • Widen what the workflow handles only for low-risk internal outputs, not for customer sends.
  • Review the rule monthly.

Common Mistakes

  • Treating a good run count as permission to send automatically.
  • No billing limit or run cap.
  • Letting the model version shift without retesting.

Exercise

Write your daily run cap, your retry limit and your pause steps.
