How To Set Up Your Brand Voice, Website Copy And Emails In One Pass

When setting up a business or relaunching it, plan the voice, core message, website pages and emails together. Settle the facts and writing choices before adapting them to each format.

For the materials together, The Brand And Copy Bundle collects four kits.

Step One: Write Down Your Voice

Decide how you sound before writing anything public. Pick a few traits, write rules for what you do and do not say, and keep a few example lines. Everything after this uses it.

Step Two: Settle Your Message

Write what you do, who it is for and why it is different. Turn it into a short pitch and a bio. This is the base for every page and email.

Step Three: Write The Core Pages

Use the message to write your homepage, about, services, pricing and contact pages. Each page has a different job, so give each its own focus. A hypothetical example: the homepage names the customer and offer, while the contact page explains what happens after someone writes.

Step Four: Write Your Emails

Start with a welcome sequence for new subscribers. Use the same voice and the same message. Add launch or follow-up emails when you need them.

Step Five: Read It All Together

Put the pages and emails side by side. Check names, claims and tone match, and fix any place where they differ.

If You Want The Kits Together

The product page for The Brand And Copy Bundle describes four working kits delivered together: The Brand Voice Workbook, The Messaging Kit, The Website Copy Kit and The Email Sequence Starter Pack. It is a PDF download for anyone setting up their brand voice and writing core pages and emails in one pass.

Review the product page before buying and check the four named kits against the work you need to do. Prepare your business facts and a few examples of the voice you want to keep.
