The 1 in Zero to One
5 min read

The launch is just the first step. Founders treat launch day like the exam. It is more like the first day of class. A launch gives you one burst of attention from people who were already watching, and attention spent that way is gone by the weekend. What separates products that grow from products that spike is what happens on the ordinary days after.
Where growth actually comes from
The ordinary-week plan
The weeks after launch, do the unglamorous work: write the pages that answer the questions your customers actually type, fix the thing the first ten users tripped on, and email the list with something useful instead of something promotional.
None of it feels like a launch. All of it is the reason a second launch would work. Build the floor, then the spikes have somewhere to land.
