What Goes On A Sales Page For A Course, Service Or Product
3 min read

A sales page has one job: help a reader decide whether to buy. Check that it explains the offer, what is included and what happens after the reader buys.
For a section-by-section outline with a worked example, The Sales Page Blueprint is made for that.
Open With What It Is And Who It Is For
The top of the page should say what you are selling and who it helps, in plain words. Put that information before background details so the reader can check whether the offer fits.
Describe The Problem In The Reader's Words
Show that you understand the situation they are in. Use the language your customers use, taken from emails, reviews or conversations, not your own internal terms.
Explain What They Get
List what is included. For a course, that might be the lessons and materials. For a service, the deliverables and how the work runs. Be specific and stay with facts you can support.
Answer Doubts Before They Ask
Collect the questions customers ask before buying, such as whether the offer fits their situation and what is included. Put questions and plain answers near the decision point. Only include proof you actually have, such as a real customer quote you have permission to use. Do not invent testimonials.
Make The Next Step Obvious
Tell the reader what to do and what happens next. Use a clear button label and explain the next step beside it.
Review Each Section
Go through the page one section at a time and ask what the section is for and whether it does it. Cut anything that answers no question. Then ask someone who has never seen the offer to read it and tell you what they would buy and why.
A hypothetical example: a freelance editor selling a manuscript review might find that her page explains her background at length but never says what the writer receives. Moving the deliverables up gives the reader the missing information.
If You Want An Outline And Example
The product page for The Sales Page Blueprint describes a section-by-section outline of a sales page, a worked example, and a review list for each section. It is a PDF download for people writing a page for a course, a service or a product.
Review the product page before buying, then gather your offer details and any customer quotes you have permission to use. Those are the facts you will need when filling out the outline.
