AI Literacy and Human Skills
Human Skills That Matter More Now
Lesson 10 of 10 - 12 min
Your 30-Day Learning Plan
Pick two tasks from your week and use AI on them with care. Write down time saved, mistakes found and anything that surprised you. For Mara, the two tasks are the pipeline summary and the follow-up drafts. At the end of 30 days, decide what to keep.
Plan
- Week 1: choose the two tasks and set rules (from the Manage lesson).
- Week 2: try them and log the results.
- Week 3: fix the prompts and the checks.
- Week 4: decide what stays in your routine.
Your 30-Day Log
- Keep a simple table with six columns: date, task, time with AI, estimated time without it, mistakes found, and keep, change or drop.
- Add one row each time you use AI on a real task. A few lines is enough.
- At the end of week 4, count the rows marked keep and change. That count is your answer.
Keep a Claim Ledger
- For any output you plan to share, list each claim that matters (a number, a name, a quote) next to where you checked it.
- If you can't name the check, remove the claim or mark it unverified.
- Review the ledger before you send, and keep it with the log.
Example (fictional)
Mara picks two tasks: meeting notes and first drafts of customer replies. After 30 days she keeps the first, changes her rules on the second, and drops a third task she tried that took longer to check than to do.
Common mistakes
- Trying ten things and learning from none.
- Not logging mistakes.
- Keeping a use that costs more time than it saves.
Exercise
Pick your two tasks. Write your check-in date for each week of the 30 days.
